Rebecca Bennett has worked at Vulcan Lane's Workshop for five years. "I love working with inspiring designs, meeting different people and being part of the fun experience of shopping for clothes." As well as working full time, she graduated last year with a business degree, majoring in advertising. She isn't sure what she is going to do with it, but knows she wants to stay in the fashion industry.
Who are your favourite fashion designers?
Helen Cherry, Paul & Joe, Chloe, Collette Dinnigan, and I love One Teaspoon T-shirts and Nike trainers for casual wear.
What do you wear to work?
I'm so lucky that every day I can indulge and wear pieces from the Helen Cherry and Workshop denim collections. My outfits are always completed with a mix of lots of accessories - bangles, earrings, rings, belts and scarves.
What is your favourite accessory of the moment?
A Moroccan leather embossed belt and gold and silver plaited jandals.
What are the staple pieces for a good wardrobe?
I'm not the most practical shopper. I don't believe in staple pieces, I just believe in buying pieces that I absolutely love and enjoy wearing again and again.
What is your failsafe look on days when you simply have nothing to wear?
Workshop stretch jeans, an Indian embroidered top and an overdose of accessories.
What do you wear when you're relaxing at home?
My super-comfortable Supre velour trackpants and beaded Chinese slippers.
What are the last items of clothing you bought?
A piece of exquisite turquoise and gold lace fabric from Arab St in Singapore that I had made into a slip dress. Also a See by Chloe gold print T-shirt.
Your biggest indulgence?
Once a month I treat myself to a massage or reflexology treatment. On a daily basis, my frangipani body lotion.
Favourite hotels?
I haven't travelled much yet, and I can't wait to experience more of the world. So far a standout would have to be Jimbaran Bays Nikko Hotel in Bali. The atmosphere and setting is absolutely stunning.
What is your beauty routine?
Cleanser and toner by Dr Hauschka, Neutrogena's SPF 30 moisturiser and Clarins Beauty Flash Balm on days when I feel I need a pick-me-up.
What can't you live without?
My family, fun catch-ups with my girlfriends, i-book and morning coffee.
Who cuts your hair?
Steve Cockle at Servilles. He's heading overseas so I'm on the lookout for a new hairdresser.
What item of makeup would you be lost without?
M.A.C Lipglass in Spite. Kohl eyeliner for evening.
What inspires you?
Conversation and people that lead to insights and examples of possibilities I can aspire to in my life.
Reading, whether it be novels, biographies or flicking through fashion magazines, especially European Vogue - current and old.
