Anyone who listens to alternative radio station 95bFM's breakfast show will be familiar with Camilla Martin's distinctive high-pitched voice.
Martin, who began working as a volunteer at the station four years ago when she was 17, taught speech and drama before making radio her full-time job last year.
As well as being part of the station's breakfast team, she also appears on TV, hosting C4's Intellectual Property show. Dressed by Karen Walker, Martin plays a mix of old and new alternative music videos on the show.
She lives in Pt Chevalier with her fiance Tom and dog Lola.
Who are your favourite fashion designers?
Karen Walker. Her new collection leaves all the designers who follow Kate Moss and Sienna Miller in the dust. I don't generally get too excited by labels because I don't like to be told what to wear, but Karen Walker's designs are always inspiring.
What is your favourite accessory of the moment?
I bought these obscure glasses from a nifty little store in the Atrium [on Elliott], they were $50, with navy pentagon-shaped frames. They're quite 70s and a nice variation on the aviator look. I haven't sat on them yet so I'm hoping they will see me through until summer.
What is the last item of clothing you bought?
A pale blue halter towelling bikini from Karen Walker and some gold moccasins, which are so rad. One of my friends makes moccasins and it seems there is a market for him to explore over summer.
Name your favourite CD?
It changes daily because I'm surrounded by good music but an album I always go back to is Automatic Midnight by the now defunct Hot Snakes and a collection of Marc Bolan B-sides and poetry. It's perfect for driving or a heroin den, but I don't dabble in that, of course ...
Favourite hotels?
Mangonui Apartments in Northland. It's a four-hour drive but, boy, is it worth it. The rooms overlook the water and are surrounded by hibiscus and banana palms. My fiance and I love it up there and try to go as often as we can. There is a great pub next door with a cheeky resident cockatoo and the best fish and chip eatery a short walk away. My nana was born in one of the houses on the water so I feel like we have some family history there, and always feel relaxed.
Who cuts your hair?
Lauren Gunn at Stephen Marr. Rowan Duley does the colouring. I think my hair was a bottle away from a nervous breakdown before I met those visionaries. It was having an identity crisis. I like going to Stephen Marr, the service is excellent and the wine is lovely, although you aren't supposed to use it as a bar.
Who inspires you?
I love old pictures of Marianne Faithfull in the 1960s. She has the best outfits - velvet suits, lots of antique rings and shaggy hair. My mother has pretty good taste, too. She was a house model for Christian Dior and picked up some eclectic things in the 70s which extended to antique furniture as well. That's my favourite fashion era because it has so many facets - hippy, boho, disco and glam.
Favourite store of the moment?
Fast & Loose is always good fun to have a peruse in and Bon Traders in Newmarket have some exquisite things. One day, when I have a little house, I suspect I'll get my things from there mostly, if I don't make it to India and China.
Best outfit, ever?
Hopefully that'll be my wedding dress. I wanted to wear pants but apparently I'm not allowed. No one understood what I wanted. I think they thought I'd turn up in jeans and boots. Oh ye of little faith.
