Jane Yee is music channel C4's new presenter. The former Squeeze presenter majored in radio for her communications degree at AUT and started in radio as an announcer on alternative station 96.1.
Who are your favourite fashion designers?
Illicit and Federation.
What do you wear to work?
I'm pretty casual most of the time. I'm a jeans and T-shirt girl, occasionally with a skirt thrown into the mix. I'm no good on heels, so I live in trainers.
What is your favourite accessory?
Hair ribbons, either in bows or as a headband.
What are the staple pieces for a good wardrobe?
A good pair of jeans, hoodie, T-shirts, singlets and cute shoes.
What do you wear when you're relaxing at home?
I'm getting to sound boring, but jeans and a T-shirt.
What were the last items of clothing you bought?
A Federation sweater and some pink Vans' slip-ons.
Any fashion disasters?
I'm the youngest of five girls, so many of my fashion disasters were the result of wearing hand-me-downs from my sisters a season or two too late.
I fell victim to the coloured jeans trend of the early 90s. I once had a matching sea-green shorts-and-shirt set which I was fond of, often teamed with a cable-knit off-white jumper.
But the worst was a pair of tight, shiny-black stretch pants that I wore with chunky black and silver boots.
Even though they looked awful, I thought they looked fantastic and sported this combo with disturbing regularity.
What is your beauty routine?
Cleanse, tone and moisturise.
What can't you live without?
Music.
Who does the best handbags?
I own very few bags. The one that gets the most use is by Misery. The rest of the time I carry a Kathmandu backpack.
Who cuts your hair?
Stephen Marr Hair Design.
What's your biggest indulgence?
I love gadgets - iPod, mini disc recorders, cameras, and so on.
What item of makeup would you be lost without?
I wouldn't be lost without makeup.
Favourite hotels?
The Heritage.
What inspires you?
Music and people who are doing interesting things with their lives.
