Rather than look at your watch in despair the next time you're running late, you can stop and admire it. That's if you're lucky enough to have one of these beauties on your wrist. The Rado Integral Chronograph Jubile has 24 white diamonds and a platinum finish, available in red, turquoise or white, with a platinum or snakeskin strap. Prices begin around $6200 from Michael Hill Jewellers.

Feeling in need of a bit of a spruce-up? Fashion maven Paula Ryan is touring the country in May and June, hosting seminars and workshops on how to style yourself and your home.
The seminars offer a head-to-toe guide to clothes, hair and makeup and show you how to develop your "personal brand". Ryan will also give ideas on how to style your home. Tickets are $65 each or $60 for a group of 10 or more from Ticketek. Or if you feel like you need a more intensive session, Ryan's workshops last a full day, also covering advice about the shapes, colours and lengths that best suit you, how to make lifestyle improvements, and general styling tips. Tickets are $800 each and include a champagne lunch, canapes and gift bag to the value of the ticket. Numbers are strictly limited to 20 per workshop.
Hate shopping?
We have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like shopping. But they must exist because a website has been set up just for them: www.hateshopping.co.nz is for those people who can't be bothered with crowds, parking, pushy salespeople, or just don't like trawling through clothing racks. Or for those who just don't have the time, say owners Kirsty O'Hara and Ben Powles.
How does it work? You tell them your budget and what you're after and they'll come to you with their ideas. Best of all, its free.
