Nicole Kidman's apparent engagement to famous bad boy Kiwi rocker Keith Urban has the women's magazines in a frenzy this week.
You'll all know him, of course - Whangarei-born, Australian-reared, country singer with a bad boy reputation for something, although no one seems to be able to reveal exactly what.
Bad at writing lyrics, perhaps.
Anyway, both Woman's Weekly and Woman's Day reveal the happy couple flew to Nashville for a family summit involving both sets of parents.
Nic was wearing her new rock - estimated to be worth a cool $140,000 - and it is understood by the Day that a New Year's Eve wedding is planned, possibly in Fiji, because "Nicole's always wanted an island wedding, somewhere private and incredibly romantic".
Unlike her last wedding - to Tom Cruise in a cabin in the Colorado mountains. Those two must both have a real thing about getting married in the holiday season. Tom and Nic wed on Christmas Eve, now she's looking for a New Year bash, and Tom is said to be doing the deed this Christmas.
That is, of course, to ensure he is married before their child is born.
Oh, and speaking of children, Nicole is also said to be pregnant. Both the Day and the Weekly say a picture taken of her holding her stomach is a sign, not to mention other photos of country Keith "lovingly patting" her belly.
Speaking of babies, Brad and Angelina are apparently looking for a Pakistani child to get the rainbow family rolling.
The non-couple have just been in Tokyo to promote the movie that started their whole non-relationship, Mr and Mrs Smith. They stopped in Pakistan to check out the country's earthquake damage and decided an earthquake orphan really appealed.
The Day reports that the couple have "already drawn up a pre-nup declaring joint responsibility for the existing clan, meaning now there is no reason why they can't adopt another child as soon as possible". No word on what the other participant in the non-relationship, Jennifer Anniston, thinks.
Baby joy is also imminent for one of New Zealand's best actresses, Angela Bloomfield. She tells the Day that she's not afraid of the baby blues this time, having had quite a rough time with her first child, Max.
This time she's having a girl, due around Christmas Day. And on the good news front, the former Shortland Street star/director says she wants to get back into acting in a few years and will leave husband Chris with the child-minding duties.
And if it's not babies it's toddlers. The Weekly has a spread featuring that well- known Australian Russell Crowe with his little Charles doing the things that normal people do at the park with their kids.
