You laugh. But cook up some ribs, boil some potatoes, haul on your denim overalls and chuck this in the player. Featuring "rockgrass" versions of songs like AC/DC's Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Detroit Rock City by Kiss, and the standout, Motorhead's Ace of Spades, this is a darn good knees-up. How was rockgrass invented? Legend has it the lads from Hayseed Dixie - who look straight off the FBI most-wanted list - came across a crashed car on the notorious Devil's Elbow curve in hometown Deer Lick Holler. In the back was a stack of AC/DC records. Their player only went at 78rpm but they found that, sped-up, AC/DC made mighty fine country music. Adding a backwoods influence, they delivered debut album A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC. This is their second. Hayseed Dixie take their music seriously, but you needn't. It's fun, but don't be surprised if non square-dancin' guests at your hoe-down take it out back and shoot it.
