With their 79-82 Brit post-punk-gone-funk heyday being tapped into by Franz Ferdinand et al, Gang of Four has reunited to re-record their key songs (from the Entertainment! and Solid Gold albums).
The tough, twitchy and thrillingly bass-heavy results should astound even those who first heard them as angry young men. I
t's also enough to make the accompanying disc of remixes by hipster devotees (Dandy Warhols, No Doubt and others) surplus to requirements.
