Adopt a pet: Mellow feline needs a relaxed home to share

This black tortoiseshell stray cat has travelled a long way to the SPCA's Animal Village in Mangere.

The one-year-old female was found in a garage at Avondale with three kittens on December 13.

The kittens have since been adopted and the mother spayed.

Feline attendant Liza Arnold says this cat would not be good for young children.

"She's pretty laid back. She doesn't jump around like the other cats do.

"She's pretty mellow."

The cool cat is ready for adoption and her village number is 69853.
