"He looks like a ratbag but when you get to know him he is extremely friendly," said SPCA animal attendant Nicole Rushbrook of this 4-year-old fellow.
He is a big boy with a chubby face and large eyes that peer suspiciously at our photographer as he tries to coax some co-operation from his subject. A staff favourite, he came in on December 5 from Manurewa.
The people who brought him in thought he was a feral cat but staff soon discovered he was domesticated and they've been trying to find him a home ever since.
Despite calling him a ratbag, Ms Rushbrook says he is a great cat who would make a good pet, "and he is gorgeous too!"
His village number is 87661.
