KEY POINTS:
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a private audience with the legendary singer Sir Elton John.
A charity auction, which begins tonight on internet auction site Trade Me, is offering one lucky couple the ultimate Elton experience - access to the pre-concert sound check, dinner and a night at Wellington's InterContinental Hotel, access to a VIP suite throughout the concert, plus an assortment of merchandise signed by the man himself.
All profits from the auction will to the New Zealand Aids Foundation, a cause of which John has been a long-time supporter.
The singer founded his own Aids foundation, the Elton John Aids Foundation, in 1992.
The auction opens on Trade Me at 5pm this evening and will close at 9pm on Tuesday, November 21.
John will perform at Westpac Stadium in Wellington next month, on December 6.
