Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) designs shoes. His latest design is a disaster and costs his company almost $1 billion. Just as Drew is about to commit suicide he gets a call to say his father is dead.

On his flight home he falls for kooky stewardess Claire (Kirsten Dunst). Drew thinks Claire is the perfect woman. His mother (Susan Sarandon) is not quite so easily taken in. The two events may change Drew's mind and prolong his life. You may care about this, but I sincerely doubt it.

Cameron Crowe has directed some excellent movies - Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous. This is not one of them.
