Dylan hit dubbed the 'greatest'

The Bob Dylan classic 'Like a Rolling Stone' has been voted the greatest song of all time.

Dylan's 1965 hit topped a list of 500 songs in Rolling Stone magazine, chosen by 172 artists including Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello and kd lang.

The Dylan hit was followed by the Rolling Stones' Satisfaction and John Lennon's Imagine.

Also in the top 10 were Aretha Franklin's Respect, the Beach Boys' Good Vibrations, Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode, the Beatles' Hey Jude and Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit - the only offering from recent years.
