Dustin Hoffman is a lucky guy who got his big break in 1967's The Graduate despite his audition.

"I went to shake the prop guy's hand and all my subway tokens fell out of my pocket. He picked them up, gave them back to me and said: 'Here kid, you're gonna need these'."

The 68-year-old won best-actor Oscars for Kramer vs Kramer (1979) and Rain Man (1988).
