Singer-songwriter Dave Dobbyn will perform at the dedication ceremony for the New Zealand memorial in London's Hyde Park early next month, Prime Minister Helen Clark said today.
The $3 million memorial commemorates the bonds between Britain and New Zealand and the losses both countries had during wars. It is to be unveiled on Armistice Day, November 11, before 300 representatives of the army, navy and air force, war veterans, members of parliament and the New Zealand media.
Helen Clark said Dobbyn had been at the forefront of New Zealand music for over 25 years.
"We are delighted he has agreed to perform at this important and moving day."
