LONDON - A presenter and producer have been suspended by their radio station after staging a mock burglary of their boss's house while on air.
Kerrang! 105.2 said in a statement on Monday it had suspended presenter Tim Shaw and producer Greg Pebble indefinitely following "an attempted on-air prank that went way far beyond the bounds of acceptable behaviour" last week.
The station said the two men broke into the programme director's home during their show and caused substantial damage to property, including spray-painting obscenities on a wall.
It added: "Kerrang! 105.2 does not condone criminal behaviour of any kind from staff or listeners, and has accordingly suspended the pair indefinitely pending the outcome of investigations and discussions with our legal team."
There was no immediate comment from Shaw and Pebble.
