Pop diva Diana Ross was yesterday sentenced to two days' jail and ordered to undergo alcohol abuse counselling after pleading no contest to drink driving in the US state of Arizona.
The conviction and jail stint for Ross, 59, came after she was arrested in Tucson on December 30, 2002, and was found to have more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood.
In September 1999, Ross was detained for about five hours in London over an alleged assault on a female security guard at Heathrow Airport. She was released after being cautioned.
