Pop star Delta Goodrem has denied sacking her manager mum, Lea, but admits she is looking for a new manager to push her international profile.
"I'm very disappointed about the reports," Goodrem told fans on her website.
"My relationship with my mother is as strong as ever and we are a great team. We have been looking for the right international manager for the next step of my international career."
Earlier reports had said Delta was heartbroken at having to tell her mother she could no longer manage her music career.
Lea took over as manager in March after Delta sacked industry veteran Glenn Wheatley, complaining he spent too much time with singer John Farnham.
Delta, 20, is dating former Irish boy-band member Brian McFadden.
