Dear D&P: I got a toenail infection from my friend's nailbar

My friend has a nailbar in her house, and I got a really bad toenail infection after going there but she says it has nothing to do with her.

Denise says:

Do you mean a proper business, or a tub of water and a towel laid down on the lounge floor next to a pot plant? You need to go to a proper nail bar and not be a cheapskate, which is why you have a fungal infection.

Pebbles says:

I'm sure there is no way of proving that the infection came from her makeshift nail studio, as they can be caused by many things. But it's probably best to go to a professional. Don't fall out over this, but be more mindful next time. She probably works from home for a reason.
