He's one of the most famous men on the planet, and with one of the most sought-after physiques too.
But David Beckham has been undeniably upstaged by his best friend James Corden in a spoof video for the British comic's new TV endeavour The Late Late Show.
In the moody black and white clip filmed ahead of the sports star's appearance on the show on Monday night, the two stars are seen in their underwear for a fake advertising campaign for "D&J Briefs".
Taking aim at typical overstyled underwear adverts and mimicking those David has appeared in for retailer H&M, the two underpants-clad men pose seductively for the camera.
It opens with a close-up of David's tattooed body, rising up over his white underwear and up over his honed muscles until it reaches his face, brooding down the lens.
And the comedy moment comes when the former Gavin & Stacey star steps in, also wearing a pair of white boxers, his not-so-muscular physique on full show.
Mimicking David's pose, the 36-year-old adopts a hulking position while fully showing off his special own brand of underpants, before putting his arm around his co-star and pal, their faces perfectly serious despite the comedy focus of the clip.
"For a man to be truly happy..." David begins speaking over the twinkly music in the background.
"He needs to be able to see within himself," James adds.
"You spend your life being watched, getting pushed, being judged. Horizons are difficult to see," continues David, who does well by this point not to break into laughter.
"Is there a reason to life?" James asks, while holding up a hair dryer to his hunky friend.
David adds rather poetically: "Is there a meaning to my days? That's why I need to feel secure..."
They then chime together, "Supported, free, cradled, alive..." before James cheekily adds, "sexually aroused..."
Giving his friend a confused look, the footballer pipes up "Excuse me?"
"You heard..." the comic replies indignantly
"Beauty is skin deep; it's underneath that counts," David continues before James concludes the funny fake advertisement: "D&J Briefs. It's underwear for a man with a great body.
The final scene of the hilarious new spoof sees the British star get down while in his monogrammed boxers to do the worm on the floor, completely stealing focus from David, who is showing off his muscles one last time.
This isn't the first time the pals have worked together before: they previously joined forces for an iconic Sport Relief comedy skit back in 2010 along with other members of the England football team, and then again for their much-adored bath scene in 2011. The clip seems to have gone down well with James' brand new American audience, who have taken kindly to him since his debut on The Late Late Show last week.
James has thus far received rave reviews for his hosting of the show, which he took over from previous presenter Craig Ferguson.
The self-deprecating star, who relocated to Los Angeles with his family for work, had previously warned that he wouldn't do a very good job, and that it could all go spectacularly wrong for him.
But it seems he was incorrect, as TV fans last Monday night rushed to Twitter to heap praise on him as he interviewed the A-list likes of Mila Kunis and Tom Hanks.
After weeks of worries about whether his raw British humour would translate, as well as concerns over his accent and how the US celebrities would take to his full-on style, viewers and reviewers seem to love him.
And as well as getting his best friend David to take part in this new skit with him, he's also managed to bag the likes of Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Eddie Redmayne and Mariah Carey to film funny videos with him for the show.
