Dame Kiri Te Kanawa to give recital in Christchurch

Dame Kiri Te Kanawa will give a recital in Christchurch in 2005.

Brian Castles-Onion, artistic director for Canterbury Opera, said he would accompany her in her Christchurch Town Hall recital on January 29, 2005.

Canterbury Opera chief executive Elizabeth Owens said the company had been trying for three years to persuade Dame Kiri to give a recital.
