The Daily Mail is facing backlash from its own readers after accusing the Duchess of Cambridge of overdoing it.
Pictures of Kate out shopping were run on the front page of the Monday's Mail under the headline "Feeling the Xmas strain are you, Kate?"
The article then went on to describe her as looking "absolutely shattered" with "eyes puffy and lined".
The paper suggests her three official engagements over the past week combined with being a mother to two young children may be the cause of her exhaustion and that she was "long overdue a lie-in".
"These events are draining enough - all that constant good cheer, all that being introduced to people you're supposed to know but can't for the life of you remember the names of - without having to cope with two small children," the article states.
