If you've been through US Customs you know those guys are not in the mood for jokes. But actor Hugh Jackman encountered one who turned out to be a tabby cat.
The Australian said: "He was giving me kind of a hard time, and then he asked me what I was doing, and I said, 'I'm here for a meeting with the director of X-Men'. And he looked at me, he said, 'The X-Men? Are you an animator'? I said, 'No, no. They're doing a film of X-Men'.
"'You're serious. What part are you up for'? 'Wolverine'. 'Are you serious? Wolverine'? 'No, man, I'm just auditioning. I don't know if I got it'. 'That's great, will you sign this for me? Let him through'. I was rushed through customs and I was kinda embarrassed," recalls Jackman.
American fans are catching him as the intrepid monster hunter in Van Helsing, on DVD and VHS.
This collection includes the original films that inspired Van Helsing - Dracula, Frankenstein and The Wolf Man.
