CrossFit couple's hardcore engagement photo shoot

Newly engaged couple Iliana and Joe headed to their local gym for a unique engagement photoshoot - a CrossFit session.

The fitness fanatics told the Huffington Post they jokingly threw around the idea of doing a shoot at their Florida gym - Crossfit High Intensity - when they approached a photographer keen to get on board.

Photographer Cricket Whitman said she loves to cater to couples and capture something unique.

"When I was talking to Joe about where they wanted to do the session he said 'I know it's kinda crazy but Iliana mentioned maybe doing some photos in our CrossFit gym since we love working out there together.'

"I loved the idea so much we spent half the session doing those photos."

Iliana initially sought inspiration online, but the strong lovers managed to come up with a few of their own poses.

"It's a hobby we are both really passionate about and that's something we like to do together," she said.

"It's really fun that you can share it with somebody that you love," Iliana told the Huffington Post.

"We had a couple times where we flopped honestly. We got it the third try."
