A man in the US was convinced he had an uncomfortable ear infection, only to discover a spider had set up house deep within his ear canal.
Bruce Branit had a painful ear infection after swimming at a lake in northwestern Missouri.
Mr Branit usedhis cellphone in an attempt to find the source of the pain, only to watch a black spider crawl out of his ear, before retreating back inside.
The video footage of Mr Branit's ordeal has been viewed on YouTube more than 85,000 times, with many viewers posting their horror and expressing 'viewers remorse'.
"Put a warning on these videos please! I'll be sleeping with earplugs now!" wrote one viewer.
