Creative New Zealand has awarded professional development fellowships to Canterbury Opera executive director Elizabeth Owens and Auckland Theatre Company producer Simon Prast.
They will attend a seven-day leadership and management programme in Canada next month.
Prast says a previous programme in London paid dividends with a 300 per cent increase in box office takings.
Creative NZ says the fellowships are part of a three-year strategy aimed at developing a professional arts infrastructure.
