LONDON - Despite driving many Britons hopping mad, the unstoppable Crazy Frog mobile phone ring tone has topped the pop charts for a fourth week, the Official UK Charts Company said.
Crazy Frog's catchy version of "Axel F", the theme music to the movie "Beverly Hills Cop", has seen off challenges from the likes of Coldplay and U2, whose latest track dropped out of the top ten, during its tenure at the top.
The continued success of the first ring tone to have reached the top of the charts, kept ex-Army officer James Blunt in second spot with "You're Beautiful".
DJ team Audio Bullys were in third place as they continued their rise up the chart with a remix of Nancy Sinatra's "Shot You Down".
American hip-hop artist Akon's "Lonely" dropped a place to fourth, while cartoon band Gorillaz were also down one in fifth with "Feel Good Inc".
U.S. hip-hop star Nelly led a flurry of new entries in sixth place with "N Dey Say". DJ Sammy's dance track "Why" was the next new entry in seventh followed by "Wake Me Up When September Comes" by U.S. rock band Green Day which debuted in eighth.
"Paint Your Target" was another new entry for Fightstar in ninth, while American R&B singer Amerie completed the top ten with "1 Thing".
