Coronation Street has won a clutch of television honours and left its soap rivals in the shade.
The popular show was named Best Soap in the TVQuick awards in London.
Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, picked up the Best Soap Actress honour while young Samuel Aston, who plays neglected child Chesney Brown, was named Best Soap Newcomer.
The love triangle involving Tina's character, Sarah, and Todd and Karl, which gripped the nation earlier this year, as Todd battled with his homosexuality, was named Best Soap Storyline.
