Connery honoured by American Film Institute

Sean Connery will receive the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award, its highest honour for a career in film.

The award will be presented to the actor in Los Angeles on June 8. Chairman Howard Stringer called Connery "an artist of the highest order".

"His body of work not only stands the test of time, but illuminates a career more extraordinary than James Bond himself."
