Comedian Sandler, wife have first baby

LOS ANGELES - Comedian Adam Sandler's wife has given birth to their first child, according to a posting on his website on Sunday.

"Kid is healthy!! Wife is healthy!! He's still a moron and that's all that counts," the site said, presumably referring to Sandler as the moron.

People magazine, citing an unidentified source, said the baby was a girl, born on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center near Beverly Hills.

Sandler, 39, and wife Jackie, 31, were married in June 2003, after she had converted to Judaism. His next movie, "Click," is due in theaters in June.
