By EIRLYS HUNTER
Bor-ing, bor-ing, bor-ing.Finn trudged up the hill in the rain. He'd had a boring day at school, and now he had a boring evening ahead of him doing boring homework for boring teachers.
His backpack weighed a ton, he'd skinned his knee during soccer and now it was throbbing.
A car swished past and he looked up, just in case. Finn had hoped his father would pick him up - come and watch his match even. But Bill obviously couldn't be bothered.
At home he dumped his bag and went in search of food.
Bill was hunched over the computer, as usual.
"Hi Dad."
Silence.
"I said, 'Hi Dad'."
"What?" Bill didn't even look up. Joe was in the kitchen, slobbering over his girlfriend Edith.
"Don't mind me," said Finn. "Can I get to the fridge?"
Edith pushed Joe away and squealed, "Its Finn! How are you, gorgeous?"
She hugged him to her bulging chest. She liked embarrassing him.
"Want to see my new tat?"
"Depends where it is," said Finn. He felt hot and hoped he hadn't blushed.
