George Clooney has come to Brad Pitt's rescue. Clooney stepped in and chastised a reporter who was trying to ask his Ocean's Twelve co-star about his split from wife Jennifer Aniston.
Journalists at a Tokyo press conference were required to sign an agreement that they wouldn't ask the stars personal questions. They also agreed in writing that they wouldn't sell their stories to any publications other than those they were representing.
Clooney, wearing a neck brace, opened the event by joking: "I know that there has been a certain topic on everyone's lips for the past few days, so I am happy to tell you that my neck is all right."
When one reporter tried to ask Pitt about Aniston, Clooney was not amused. The actor jumped in: "Shame on you!"
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has weighed in on the split.
"Jen and Brad, I wish you both well," the billionaire said. "And I really hope you have a very good prenuptial agreement.'
* For fans starving for a Brad-Jennifer bust-up update, the New York Post says she's moved out of the couple's US$13.5 million ($19.4 million) home and into the house of a friend and confidant, hairstylist Chris McMillan.
He's the one who gave the Friends star the immortal Rachel cut in 1994.
