Church 'depressed' over untrustworthy media

Teenage singing star Charlotte Church gets depressed over paparazzi attention and has only one or two friends she can trust, her mother says.

Maria Church also said her daughter "wouldn't listen" to past warnings about unsuitable boyfriends.

Charlotte, 19, now dating Welsh rugby star Gavin Henson, 23, lived with model Steven Johnson and also went out with trainee hotel manager Kyle Johnson.

Mrs Church said last night: "She wouldn't listen, I knew it was going to happen. She knew it was going to happen with Steven, I think, but not so much with Kyle."

Mrs Church branded the paparazzi "absolute scumbags" who harassed her daughter "morning, noon and night".

"I have no respect for them whatsoever, I don't see it as a job."
