Chuganaut wins Battle of Bands

Waikato-based Chuganaut has taken out the New Zealand title at the Battle of the Bands finals in Auckland.

Nine groups from around the country took part, with Exiter placed second and Ample Cleavage third.

The winners, who say their music is loosely based around rock, alternative, and twisted metal styles, now go on to the world finals.

Chuganaut was formed in 2002 and won the Woodstock Blue Battle of the Bands last year.
