Famed shoe designer Christian Louboutin has designed his latest collection in a bid to challenge the fashion industry's narrow definition of the wardrobe colour staple "nude".
The "nudes" range has been released in seven different skin tones, as the designer announces "nude" shouldn't just mean "white skin".

The range hasalready garnered a following and is being marketed under a tag line created by Louboutin himself: "Nude is not a colour; it's a concept."

The styles are designed to give women the illusion of longer legs when worn because they seamlessly blend from shoe to skin. And it's a concept women on social media are rejoicing over.
The range consists of two styles, the Christeriva: a stilleto heel with ribbon ties and the Cherrysandal: a platform block heel.
They do, however, come with quite the price tag (they are Louboutin's, after all) costing around $1100 NZD a pair.
