KEY POINTS:
After two year's lounging on the success of Powerballin', Chingy is back working the circuit with his new album Hoodstar.
Best known for the 2003 hit singles Holidae Inn and Right Thurr, Chingy released his new album in September of this year, but so far Hoodstar has failed to make an impression on the international music charts.
The 26-year-old rapper is so keen for people to hear his music, he has signed on to play a free gig at Auckland's St James, exclusive to Vodafone customers.
The first 400 customers to download any of the rapper's songs, in its entirety, will win a double pass to the free Auckland showcase on November 14.
The concert marks the start of Vodafone's new Music Sessions - a series of free gigs by local and international artists, exclusively available to Vodafone Live customers.
Vodafone will announce more concerts in the Music Sessions series as they are confirmed.
