The 40-year-old paid nearly £10 million ($24m) for the large property in Highgate. It was marketed as having a beautiful interior, "wonderful" panelled rooms, period features and beautiful gardens.
Oliver is believed to have finalised the purchase in July but is yet to move in with his wife and four children.
It's a far cry from his childhood home above his parents' pub in rural Essex.
But this is the latest multi-million-pound property to be added to Jamie Oliver's empire.
A stone's throw from Hampstead Heath and in the heart of luvvie-land, the property is praised for its "particularly fine" staircase and stunning views.
That part of North London is already home to a host of celebrities including Kate Moss, George Michael and Jude Law.
The new house is just 5km from the $16m Primrose Hill property where Oliver lives with Jools, 40, and their children, Poppy, 13, Daisy, 12, Petal, 6, and Buddy, 4.
The chef, who is thought to be worth $434m, also owns a country manor near his home town of Clavering.
His family's new home was marketed by luxury estate agents Savills.
Oliver found fame through the television series The Naked Chef in 1999 and has been a regular on Britain's screens since. He has sold more than 37 million cookery books and operates a restaurant chain, while his wife runs children's clothing line Little Bird.
In recent years, Oliver has championed healthy eating and has headed campaigns for better meals for children in school.
In Britain this week he begins his latest Channel 4 series, Jamie's Super Food. It sees the chef travel the globe to learn about healthy eating.
It follows Jamie's Sugar Rush, in which he looked at the harm eating too much sugar is doing to the nation.
