With the Matt LeBlanc comedy Joey sliding in United States television ratings and getting routinely trounced by Survivor: Vanuatu, the NBC network is praying to an angel to give the show a boost. Charlie's Angels co-star Lucy Liu has signed on to guest star in some upcoming episodes.
NBC says that Liu will come on board for "at least two episodes", suggesting the possibility of a longer run. She will play Lauren, the executive producer of the series-within-a-series, Deep Powder.
LeBlanc and Liu shared the screen in both of the successful Charlie's Angels films, with Liu playing butt-kicking crime fighter Alex and LeBlanc cameoing as her actor boyfriend.
