Chance to be an MTV VJ

If you fancy yourself as a music expert who has what it takes to be on TV then there's a job open for you.

The search for a MTV VJ - that's music television-speak for a host - starts on August 16 at 10am with live auditions in Aotea Square in Auckland. The music channel begins transmission in New Zealand at 6pm on August 16.

You can also enter the search by sending a video message of yourself to 4000 on your Vodafone mobile, or by going into designated Vodafone stores on September 2 to audition.

The official launch party is in Aotea Square at 4pm on August 18 with live performances from Savage and the Deceptikonz, with support from Aradhna, CXL and Manchu.
