Can you spot the zebra among the wildebeest?

A zebra on Kenya's Maasai Mara evidently came up with a genius way of staying safe from potential predators - by hiding in plain sight.

This photograph of thousands of wildebeest grazing on the great plains of the Maasai Mara also hides one clever zebra.

Wildlife photographer Ingo Gerlach captured this image of the massive wildebeest herd at sunrise - and later spotted the hidden zebra.

The 65-year-old photographer from Betzdorf, in Luxembourg spent around two hours watching and taking pictures of the animals at around 7.30 in the morning.

He revealed that he had to snap around one hundred photographs in order to get the one perfect image of the wildebeests.

Mr Gerlach, who was standing around hundred yards away, said: 'I did one shot after the other in high concentration, because this situation was unique for me.

"They hiked and ate while doing so."

He was pleased with his stunning photograph of the wildebeest, but when he went through his images at home, he noticed the lone zebra among the other animals.
