Cadbury's bizarre new Vegemite chocolate

It doesn't sound good, but confectionery company Cadbury will release a limited edition chocolate infused with Australia's favourite spread, Vegemite.

Cadbury made the annoucement via a grand 20-second video on Twitter.

"Yes, it's surprisingly delicious," the ad claims of the bizarre concoction.

The packaging describes the product as "Dairy Milk milk chocolate with smooth flowing caramel and Vegemite".

The new chocolate will hit shelves in Australia on June 1. Cadbury New Zealand told the Herald online there are no plans to reveal the limited edition block here.

Cadbury is hinting on social media that this is just the beginning of a new variety of chocolate combos in the pipeline, asking Twitter #ChocPlusWhat?

Some strange suggestions they've come up with include corn chips and avocado.
