Vancouver crooner Michael Buble has dominated Canada's Juno Awards, held in the city of Halifax, grabbing four trophies.
He won for best singer, album, artist and pop album of the year for "It's Time", a collection of vintage love songs produced by music guru David Foster.
Buble's main competition included "Canadian Idol" threesome Theresa Sokyrka, Kalan Porter and Rex Goudie, but - perhaps in a snub to the Idol franchise generally - all of them wound up leaving the awards show empty-handed.
Other award winners included Alberta rock band Nickelback, which won best group and best rock album for "All The Right Reasons." The band went into the Junos with a field-leading six nominations.
There was a little something for the older generation, as well.
Rock legend Neil Young earned trophies for best adult alternative album for "Prairie Wind" and the best producer award. That brings his take over the years to five Junos. The country-rocker has yet to add a single Grammy to his trophy case, however.
Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas shared the international album of the year award, reflecting retail record sales here of "X&Y" and "Monkey Business", respectively.
The Juno fan choice award, voted on by the Canadian public, went to Simple Plan, while another rising band, Bedouin Soundclash, earned the new group of the year honour.
