We came here because we'd reviewed another Titirangi cafe a few weeks ago and heard this was just as good, if not better.
Parking was easy to find up a side road, even on the day of Titirangi's very popular market (last Sunday of the month).
We walked in and immediately thought it's very small and the outlook on to the carpark isn't ideal but it's got a lovely relaxed, bright and airy feel to it.
The most unusual thing on the menu was the roasted field mushrooms on ciabatta with whipped feta, hazelnuts and rocket ($16.50).
We ordered orange-scented buttermilk pancakes with orange and mint salad and maple syrup ($12.50), Persian feta and smashed avocados on five-grain toast with mint, basil and poached eggs ($16.50) and the Vevo big breakfast, which included eggs, bacon, sausage, potato hash, roast mushroom, slow-roasted tomato and hollandaise ($18.50). All three were stand-out dishes - the pancakes were the best we've had and I don't think I've tasted a better brunch dish than the smashed avocado and feta on toast. Divine.
