We came here because for some time we'd been meaning to visit the historic Pah Homestead in Monte Cecilia Park, which houses the cafe and the Wallace Arts Centre.
Parking was not a problem - there's a dedicated carpark.
We walked in and immediately thought the homestead has been beautifully restored and really is one of Auckland's gems. The busy, buzzing little cafe is home to some of the fantastic artworks owned by the Wallace Arts Trust and there is a tempting selection of cakes and other counter food as well as a small, rather egg-heavy, menu.
The most unusual thing on the menu was the diamond jubilee coronation chicken pot pie ($16.50).
