The menu is an all-day list featuring everyone's favourites - buttermilk hotcakes with honeycomb butter ($17), corn fritters ($17), three varieties of eggs bene (from $15.50) and, the side Orvieto is famous for, their hash browns.
The look is spacious, and it needs to be, it was packed with a mix of families shuffling tables around to fit their brood, young people sipping flat whites and fit-looking folk, dressed in their activewear, enjoying brunch with their faithful dogs nearby. We suspect the nearby off-leash park Big King Reserve has something to do with the cute parade of hounds out front.
The food was all really good - my $18 spanish omelette with bacon was generously packed with roast potato, tomato and grilled cheese, and topped with sticky, sweet caramelised onion.
My partner's Orvieto bene ($20) ticked all the boxes - avocado, bacon, spinach and a perfectly poached egg. The stand-out for us both, however, were the crispy, golden slabs of potato hash. Get them as a side, no matter what you order.
