The menu is a selection of crepes, galettes, sandwiches and pastries, all made in the kitchen of this quaint French cafe. The staff were super-smiley on this wet Saturday and eager to suggest their favourites - Guillaume loves the caramel slice and Delphine is a big fan of the salted butter caramel crepe.
The look of this Richmond Rd cafe is open and warm, with a few tables inside and out and shelter from the rain - which we were very grateful for during our soggy visit. There was a family-friendly vibe.
The food is prepared fresh in front of you. The best time to visit this friendly French kitchen is on Saturday, when Delphine carefully crafts crepes and galettes street-side, alluring passers-by with the savoury scents of a classic ham, cheese and egg ($10). I managed to save room after my delicate buckwheat galette so picked a banana and Nutella crepe for dessert ($6.50). They also have gluten-free options.
The coffee was so important to Delphine that she had her husband Guillaume work on Saturday while she searched for a good enough barista to hire. Our lattes were perfect.
