The menu offers a bit more than your standard fare - there's cowboy baked beans with ciabatta soldiers and poached eggs ($15.90), hot cakes with berry coulis ($15.90)and whipped cream, rolled omelettes with feta, bacon and spinach ($17.90) and more.
The look is rural and relaxed on the outside and very stylish on the inside. If you have kids, you'll want to be outside - Fernielea offers a playground like no other cafe: trampoline, sandpit and a big outdoor blackboard. Inside there are wooden train sets and books. Our kids were thrilled.
The food was great. We ordered the cowboy beans; french toast with banana, berry coulis and maple syrup ($15.90) and eggs benedict with bacon ($18.90) and all were generous serves.
The coffee was fine and came with beautiful coffee art.
