The menu is a short list of hearty sounding $12 breakfast sandwiches made fresh to order with a running theme of eggs over easy and a weekly special. There's a small selection of salads as well as vegan and gluten-free options.
The look encourages a casual, community buzz - we pull up a stool at the solid concrete bench right by the bearded barista, where the sun can warm our backs on this lovely winter's day. The artisan touches in this small space garner admiration.
The food is made in a small kitchen by Esmee Long. The sandwiches are served in big, fluffy, brioche buns inspired by the kind you might see in LA. The pork and fennel sausage with slaw, cheddar and mayo is the most popular and we can see why. We also got our chops around the special Moroccan pulled lamb with spiced eggplant relish and iceberg lettuce - worth the mess.
The coffee is very important to the Ceremony team. It's freshly ground Flight Coffee served black, white or brewed, in gorgeous mugs made just for them by Wundaire.
