The menu is a mix of Turkish and Greek food - think pomegranate pancakes with mascarpone and pistachios, Turkish mince with poached eggs, menemen (capsicum, tomato, onion, eggs and Turkish pide) and bruschetta benedict (halloumi, spicy sausage, poached eggs, salsa and hollandaise).
The look is beautiful. The outside is decorated in beautiful Mediterranean tiles and opens out on two sides to the new Brickworks dining lane at Lynnmall. Kids can play on the astroturf area and balance posts while you sip your (very good) coffee. Inside it feels a little too dark and open but that may change as finishing touches are made.
The food is such a refreshing change from standard menus. We love the Mediterranean influence. We ordered the menemen ($15.50), which was good but could have been a little more flavourful, and the Turkish mince ($16.50) was terrific.
The service was great. The cafe had not long opened when we visited - the huge floor-to-ceiling doors had not yet been installed and there were a few other touch-ups to be done - but the staff coped admirably. They're friendly and welcoming.
