Another giant robot game - and it's a good one, although more of the same.
The MechWarrior series came out with number three a couple of months ago, and that set new visual standards for the heavy metal scene.
Activision has hit back with Heavy Gear 2, which just has the edge in terms of graphics, although at a hardware-intensive cost.
You must have a 3D hardware accelerator - there's a comprehensive list on the box so check that before you buy.
And although Activision list a Pentium 166 as the minimum processor, a 233 or a Pentium 2 system is more realistic.
If your system fits the bill, get ready for a fast and furious new game.
Although the storyline takes off from the original game, it has been totally rebuilt and features a new graphics engine.
