Hapless singleton Bridget Jones, played by Renee Zellweger, has topped a poll of Britain's 10 favourite bed scenes.
The moment where the dizzy blonde answers the phone to her mother with the words "Bridget Jones, wanton sex goddess, with very bad man between her thighs", beat other memorable favourites.
Basic Instinct's ice-pick murder scene takes second place while the portrayal of a possessed teenager lying on a bed in the 1970s horror film The Exorcist is third. Fourth was the grandparents in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory lying top-to-toe in bed.
The British poll surveyed 3000 people.
